Research Division

The Division supports the implementation of the BQA mandate through conduct of in-depth research on the education and training system and the performance of the Authority. The key responsibility of the Research division is to oversee the conduct of research within BQA and industry collaborations, this includes data collection, compilation, statistical processing, analyzing and reports production to foster data-driven approach to decision making.

The Division undertakes the following activities:

  • Primary conduct and publishing of research on matters related to the implementation of the BQA mandate.
  • Commission research on priority areas
  • Provide research support to sister departments
  • Conduct monitoring and evaluation
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to internal research policies and procedures and conduct period review of the said policies and make recommendations to management

The Division also has the Knowledge Management function which directly supports core business operations. The Knowledge Resource Center promotes information literacy by providing a wide variety of print and non-print materials in support of the BQA mandate. It caters for the information needs of the BQA and acquires information material for the Authority.
