Directorate of Quality Assurance (DQA)

The Directorate of Quality Assurance provides quality assurance services to Education and Training Providers (ETPs) and Awarding Bodies in the Higher Education (HE), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and General Education (GE) Sub-frameworks of the National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF). The services include registration, accreditation and recognition of ETPs, Awarding Bodies and learning programmes. The three Divisions, HE, TVET and GE in the Directorate are organised according to the NCQF Sub-frameworks. Through the quality assurance services, the Directorate ensures:

  • Access, equity, mobility, progression and global recognition of learners.
  • The establishment of Internal Quality Assurance Structures in ETPs.
  • Continual improvement the quality management system, accountability, and integrity of registered and accredited ETPs and Awarding Bodies
