Assessment Division

The Division is responsible for registration and accreditation of assessors and moderators. Through the registration process, the Division ascertains that a moderator or an assessor has the requisite qualifications to be registered as an assessor or moderator in accordance with the provisions of Assessor and Moderator regulations. The process also ensures that all assessors and moderators who assess and moderate NCQF registered qualifications assess and moderate at the required qualification levels as per the National Credit and Qualifications Framework. Assessor quality assurance ensures that ETPs engage assessors and moderators who can;

  • Apply assessment practices that are relevant to what needs to be assessed.
  • Optimize assessment opportunities, methods, time, resources, and evidence to show a candidate’s abilities.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders have confidence that assessment methods and outcomes are proof of a candidate’s abilities.
