Qualifications and Instruments Development Division (QIDD)

The main function of the Division is to assure quality qualifications, support qualifications development and instruments development.

The Division undertakes the following activities:

  • Quality Assurance of Qualifications
    The Division conducts Quality Assurance on applications for Registration of Qualifications on the NCQF. This includes new and renewal applications for registration of qualifications. Quality assurance of qualifications only happens after successful pre-approval to develop a new qualification and an approved expression of interest to review expired registered qualification by the Framework Development and Maintenance Division. 
    -    Conduct desk evaluation of applications for registration of qualifications against the NCQF Criteria.
    -    Preparing recommendation reports to approval structures.
  • Qualification Development Support
    The Division provides interventions such as Onsite- qualification Development Support as well as capacity building on request.
  • Instruments development
    The Division reviews and develops operational instruments such as manuals, policies, criteria and guidelines.
