Botswana Qualifications Authority today hosted a high-level consultative engagement with the Ministry of Higher Education on matters relating to Botswana’s education and qualifications landscape.

The Ministry delegation was led by Permanent Secretary Professor Richard Tabulawa, accompanied by Deputy Permanent Secretary – TVET Professor Agreement Jotia and Acting DPS (Higher Education) Yolinda Baletloa. The engagement was hosted by Acting CEO Ofentse Disang and the BQA Executive team.

The meeting focused on strategic developments within the higher education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sectors, including the implementation of the Norms and Standards framework, transition arrangements within the National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF), and ongoing policy initiatives aimed at strengthening quality assurance and qualification integrity.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for both institutions to reinforce collaboration and align efforts towards building a responsive, inclusive, and future-ready education and training system for Botswana.

Botswana Qualifications Authority remains committed to working closely with Government and sector stakeholders to enhance quality, credibility, and continuous improvement across the national qualifications system.
