ANNOUNCEMENT:  PUBLICATION OF NORMS AND STANDARDS & GUIDELINES

Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) hereby informs stakeholders and the public of the publication of;  

The Norms and Standards provide clear requirements and guidelines for Education and Training Providers (ETPs) providers, Awarding Bodies and other relevant stakeholders involved in the delivery, assessment, and recognition of qualifications across both TVET and higher education sub-sectors.  

Access to the Documents  

The Norms and Standards & their associated documents are now available on the BQA website under the “Standards and Guidelines” section. 

Stakeholders are encouraged to review the documents carefully in preparation for alignment with the outlined requirements.  

Implementation Timeline  

BQA wishes to advise stakeholders that the implementation dates for both sets of Norms and Standards will be communicated in due course. This is to allow adequate time for familiarisation, stakeholder engagement, and institutional readiness.  

Stakeholder Engagement  

The Authority will continue to provide support to all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the standards.
