TERMINATION OF REQUESTS FOR EVALUATION OF QUALIFICATIONS REPORTS BY TRAINERS AND ASSESSORS WHO WERE REGISTERED UNDER THE REPEALED VOCATIONAL TRAINING ACT 

Effective 01 October 2021, Botswana Qualifications Authority will no longer accept applications for "Request for Evaluation of Qualifications Report" from Trainers and Assessors who were registered by Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) under the repealed Vocational Training Act. Any person who may require the report should apply and pay for "Evaluation of Qualifications" through our BQA website.....

Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) is a parastatal under the Ministry of Tertiary Education Research Science and Technology. It draws its mandate from the BQA Act No.24 of 2013. Its main objectives are to provide for and maintain the National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF) and to coordinate the Education, Training and Skills Development Quality Assurance System. BQA invites applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) informs learners, parents, sponsors, Education and Training Providers (ETPs) and other stakeholders that the transition deadline for Learning Programmes from the legacy systems (Vocational Education and Training, and the Tertiary Education) is 02 December 2021.

Education and Training Providers will NOT enroll new learners into these programmes beyond 02 December 2021. The learning programmes will be phased out. Therefore, last enrolments in these learning programmes MUST be for the academic year 2021. Learners enrolled in these learning programmes will be taught until they complete their courses of study...

INVITATION TO EXPRESS INTEREST FOR THE INCLUSION INTO THE BOTSWANA QUALIFICATIONS AUTHORITY PEER REVIEWERS DATABASE

Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) is revamping and creating a new ‘Peer Reviewers Database’ previously referred to as the ‘Experts Registration Database’. All professionals who have applied before as experts, registered, and those interested in becoming part of the BQA’s pool of Peer Reviewers are invited to express interest for the inclusion in the BQA Reviewers Database. Peer Reviewers will be part of the BQA quality assurance review activities and will be engaged whenever their services are required.

BQA is mandated to Accredit learning programmes against registered qualifications.Below is a list of learning programmed that are accredited under the National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF). This process follows registration and accreditation of the Education and Training Providers and the registration of qualifications on the NCQF.
