Being part of the Business Development Department, the Capacity Building Division (CBD) exists to improve the business goals of Botswana Qualification Authority. Essentially, CBD offers guidance and support so that:

• the National Credit and Qualification Framework is adequately provided for and,
• the education, training and skills development quality assurance system is well directed

Therefore, CBD capacitates, guides, and supports Education and Training Providers in the design and development of:

• quality qualifications and NCQF based learning programmes,
• quality education delivery systems

Capacity building ensures that qualifications and learning programmes offered within the NCQF context are recognised locally, regionally, and internationally. The guidance and support provided to ETPs is in line with key policy documents such as the NCQF policy, BQA regulations, and prescribed quality assurance standards.
